How to export a chat from WhatsApp
iPhone
- Open the chat and tap the name at the top.
- Scroll down and tap Export Chat.
- Choose Attach Media to keep photos and videos.
- Save the zip to Files, or AirDrop it to your computer.
Android
- Open the chat and tap ⋮ › More › Export chat.
- Choose Include media.
- Save it to Drive or Files, or send it to your computer.
WhatsApp limits how many messages and how much media one export can hold. Very long chats may come out shortened; that happens in WhatsApp, before Chat Keeper sees the file.
